Robert T. Leonard College Scholarship Essay Contest

The Law Offices of Robert T. Leonard, one of California's premier tax law firms, is proud to announce a college scholarship essay contest that will get young people thinking about tax law and its effects on the everyday lives of Americans. This contest will be for $1,000 to be put towards tuition or related college costs and expenses.

What You Need To Do

To enter, you will need to write a minimum 500-word essay on the following tax law topic:

  • Do you think the U.S. should continue to revoke the passports of Americans who fail to pay their tax debts? Instead of removing a citizens passport, what ideas, recommendations and reforms would you want to see implemented to help resolve tax debts to the satisfaction of both parties?

Who Is Eligible

This contest is open to all U.S. students who will be entering college or university in the Fall 2018 / Spring 2019 or those already enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university. We look forward to receiving your entry!

Important Dates

Deadline to submit application via electronic form: March 15, 2019

All mail entries must be postmarked by: March 15, 2019
